Introduction

Hi, we’re Nicole and Philip, two filmmakers and storytellers. in our modern age, we are more commonly known as “content creators”.

 I was born in Transylvania but raised in Canada from a young age. Philip was born in Germany and lived most of his life in Austria. By some spontaneous act of destiny, we met in Transylvania when Philip was in town for a wedding for just two days . We instantly connected, fell in love, and soon began building a life between three countries and two continents. Our love story prevailed against all odds and that’s exactly why we care so deeply about helping other couples capture theirs.

For 5 years now we’ve been creating story-driven content for brands and individuals around the world. Our focus has always been emotion, atmosphere, and the subtle details of a good story that others miss. We loved stories so much that we even opened a pop-up bookshop in Sibiu. But in a digital world, we realized the most powerful way to preserve a story is through film.

Although we never imagined we’d create wedding content, we felt drawn to something more intimate and lasting. Philip & I both worked at wedding venues & witnessed hundreds of “I do’s,” despite being deeply personal to the couple getting married, so many weddings looked the same on camera. We saw weddings reduced to overly formal edits, stiff staging, and interchangeable soundtracks & we wanted to change that.  We’re after the energy in the room;  the subtle glances, the chaos, the laughter, the tears. Our energy brings that out of people. That connection translates naturally on camera.

We use an experimental mix of cameras and mediums, approaching each wedding like a story rather than a shotlist. We think like directors, shaping how you want the narrative to be remembered — and crafting content that’s cinematic, intentional and unique. 

That’s how Lektura Weddings was born,  out of our desire to tell the greatest story you’ll ever live in a way that feels as unique as your love.
